Ready to get your hands dirty and experience the magic of the pottery wheel? This beginner-friendly class is your chance to step into the studio, explore the art of wheel throwing, and create something uniquely yours.
Whether it’s your first time touching clay or you’ve always been curious about trying it, our guided wheel experience will walk you through the process from start to finish. You’ll learn the foundations, build confidence at the wheel, and enjoy a fun, creative session along the way.
Each class is approximately 1.5 - 2 hours and includes wedging, step-by-step instruction, wheel throwing, and cleanup of your personal workspace. We provide everything you need, tools, materials, and 1-1.5 lbs of clay per person — giving you the opportunity to create a handmade piece such as a small bowl, cup, planter, or plate.
Want to keep creating? If time allows, you can chat with your instructor about making an additional wheel-thrown piece and the extra fee involved.
After your pieces are complete, they’ll receive two kiln firings, a bisque firing followed by a glaze firing. You’ll choose your favourite glaze colour, and our team will finish your pieces with a beautiful glaze before they are ready for pickup. Finished pottery will be available in approximately 3 weeks.
Your class fee includes everything mentioned.
We can't wait for you to see your finished pottery! We will send an alert the moment it is ready for pickup. To keep our studio spacious and safe for everyone, we can only store pieces for two weeks after notification. Please grab your art within 14 days, as uncollected items will be donated to a worthy cause.
Before you arrive, please keep in mind:
• Minimum age requirement: 5 years old
• Ages 5–12 must have an adult available to assist if needed
• Closed-toe shoes are required
• Please avoid loose clothing and jewelry (bracelets, necklaces, rings)
• Long hair must be tied back
• Short nails are recommended
• No pottery experience necessary — beginners welcome!
